Brewing Beer For Rain by Lizzie Musariri - People are preparing for chipwa (prayer) to ask ancestors for rain. The chipwa is usually done by elder people. Men and women are going to the river to put bags of rapoko (millet) into the water so that is germinates. Mrs Koto is the spreading the rapoko to make chimera (malted millet). Mrs Kembo starts brewing the beer for Chipwa by cooking some porridge. People are finally celebrating the Chipwa, drinking, and the rain is beginning to rain.
